Aussie Sport is a comprehensive supplement containing essential bone minerals, trace-minerals and vitamins commonly low or inadequate in the diets of hard-working sporting horses.

The pelleted formula has been specifically designed to help meet the nutritional needs of Australian sport horses, working to maintain vitality, aid in recovery and optimise performance.

It is particularly beneficial for horses training and competing in disciplines involving sprint-style exercises, such as Roping, Barrel Racing, Reining, Campdrafting and Polocrosse.

Our Concept for Aussie Sport

Sport horses have higher requirements of essential trace-minerals and vitamins as they are required to perform more sprint style, short bursts of movement.

Aussie Sport has been designed by Australian equine veterinarian Dr John Kohnke to help meet these elevated nutritional needs, in a simple, comprehensive and easy to dose supplement.

Which Horses Benefit?
  • For roping, reining, barrel racing, campdrafting, polocrosse and working stock horses in training and competition
  • For all horses grazing or eating hay from selenium-deficient areas of Australia, including WA, SA, Tasmania and parts of lower Victoria.
  • Especially beneficial as a supplement for horses on sandy soil areas or neutral or alkaline soils which may reduce the availability of iron
  • Horses that are prone to ‘tying up’ as a supportive supplement with extra amounts of critical antioxidants for muscle health and function
Major Ingredients
Aussie Sport is scientifically formulated to contain a comprehensive blend of vitamins and minerals essential for horse health, vitality and performance.  The formulation is regularly updated to the latest guidelines for optimum nutrition in all sporting horses.

 

  • Blend of cold-pressed, colour coded Supplet® pellets separated into 5 compatible nutrient groups which ensures the potency and stability of the vitamins and trace-minerals in the supplement and in the feed.
  • Bone minerals including extra magnesium
  • All essential trace-minerals in chelated and inorganic forms for optimum digestive absorption.
  • Full range of vitamins and vitamin co-factors including extra vitamin E, C and B1
  • Higher level of biotin, choline and iodine for hoof health and strength
  • Fully organic chelated selenium (as selenomethionine) and chromium, especially helpful for Australia’s selenium-deficient soils

Supplementation Guidelines
Each level scoopful of Aussie Sport provides 40 grams (LARGE END) and 15 grams (SMALL END) of the double ended scoop.

Daily supplementation rates from 40 – 60 grams per day (for sporting horses 450 – 500 kg body weight) provide a practical guideline for supplementing the diets of horses in early training or regular work and competition.
